Site work and paving for a road / highway in Boones Mill, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from ready-mix concrete plants, which are VDOT approved, to provide hydraulic cement concrete (ready-mix concrete) to Route 728 Leaning Oak Road in Franklin County, GPS Location 37.088865, -79.960980. In order to be considered responsive to this bid, the concrete must be delivered from a VDOT-Approved Ready Mix Concrete Plant, see Attachment B. If the plant you wish to use is not currently approved, contact Travis Higgs at (540) 387-5383 or email to travis.higgs@vdot.virginiag.gov in the District Materials Division for the application procedure. If the plant becomes approved, you may be considered for future bidding programs. The contract period will be from the date of award with partial delivery to begin on approximately 08/08/2024 to be completed by 08/31/2024. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to shonda.fowler@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Any bid in response to this solicitation shall be valid for sixty (60) days. At the end of the sixty (60) days the bid may be withdrawn at the written request of the bidder. If the bid is not withdrawn at that time it remains in effect until an award is made or the solicitation is canceled.
