Site work for an educational facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
The north hillside at the Firing Range complex experienced a slope failure due to significant soil erosion related to heavy rainfall and subsequent deterioration. The remainder of the hillside is continuing to deteriorate and is encroaching closer to the main building. The sanitary sewer system and propane tank have been temporarily relocated due to the slope failure. Photos show proximity of the eroded hillside to the main building, parking lot, and fire hydrant. The proposed solution requires the selected Design/Build team to conduct a geological investigation of the hillside and parking lot area and develop plans for stabilization. In addition to slope mitigation and repairs, project requirements will include, installation of permanent sanitary sewer system, storm sewers, propane tank, concrete slab replacement/repairs, parking replacement/repairs and associated utilities.
