Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Sea Cliff, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
The Village of Sea Cliff ("Village") is issuing this Request for Proposal ("RFP") to solicit qualified and experienced demolition contractors to demolish a private residence, as well as the cleanup of a property at 4 Dubois Court, Sea Cliff, NY 11579. The single-family residence to be demolished is a 1.5-story structure with approximately 1600 square feet of living space. The house is constructed of wood with an asphalt shingle roof. The subject property requires an extensive cleanup. The successful bidder will be responsible for the complete demolition and removal of the residence, including but not limited to: o Obtaining all necessary permits and approvals from appropriate agencies. o Developing a detailed demolition plan that outlines the methodology for safe and efficient demolition. o Disconnecting and capping all utilities (water, gas, electricity, etc.). o Abatement of any hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, etc.), should they be identified during the pre-demolition survey (to be performed by the contractor). o Complete demolition of the structure, including foundation. o Removal and proper disposal of all debris from the site, ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations as well as NYS and local laws. o Stabilizing the exposed soil to prevent erosion. o Removal of debris including all trash, garbage, rubbish, and litter from the property. o Removal of fallen trees and branches. Removal of abandoned vehicles and vehicle parts and disposal of them in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. o Identification and lawful removal of any hazardous or dangerous materials that may be found on the property. Proper disposal of hazardous materials must be documented. o The contractor is responsible for leaving the property in a clean and safe condition. o The contractor is required to provide and install an appropriate construction fence surrounding the property to restrict access to the premises during demolition and until completion of project. All questions regarding this RFP should be submitted in writing to bkennedy@seacliff-ny.gov no later than August 5, 2024, at 3:30PM. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities in the submission process.
