The project must be complete by December 31, 2024. The project is located at the intersection of Weber Road and Fox Road, near Dixon in Solano County California. DESCRIPTION: The project generally includes constructing a new concrete control box, installing approximately 150 feet of 36-inch diameter, PVC pipe and steel fittings; connections to existing canals and pipelines, relocating two pumps, demolition/abandonment of old infrastructure, installation of valves, and appurtenances, and surface restoration. The District will furnish 36" PVC pipe, 36" steel specials and 36" couplings, see Appendix B for complete list; all other materials shall be furnished by the Contractor. QUESTIONS: Project specific questions must be made in writing and sent to Nancy McWilliams nmcwilliams@sidwater.org . If appropriate, the District will post responses to bidder questions received online. The cutoff date for submittal of questions is Friday, August 2, 2024, by 3:00 PM local time. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. Refer to Section 9A of the Instructions to Bidders for further instructions. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: $400,000 The Contractor shall possess a Class A General Engineering Contractor license, as required under the laws of the State of California, at the time the contract is awarded. PREQUALIFICATION: Contractor must be prequalified prior to bid opening for their bid to be accepted. Information on prequalification must be obtained online.
