The University of Texas at Austin (University) on behalf of Applied Research Laboratories, (ARL:UT) requests bids in response to this Invitation to Bid no. 721-24080 (ITB) from qualified and experienced vendors (Bidders) for services, which are more specifically described in the Scope of Work (SOW), include (but may not be limited to): electrical contractor to supply and install PVC conduit and wiring per schematics at the National Radio Astronomy Observatorys (NRAO) site in Ft. Davis, Texas. Question Deadline 08/01/2024 at 2:30 PM CT Online Portal Intent to Bid Due Date: Aug 1st 2024, 2:30 PM CDT Scope of Work Applied Research Laboratories, The University of Texas at Austin (ARL:UT) is requesting bids for a contractor to supply and install PVC conduit and cabling per ARL:UT schematics at the National Radio Astronomy Observatorys (NRAO) site in Ft. Davis, Texas. Contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies as necessary, to include but not limited to, required certifications and licenses, in order to provide Services. The University will NOT accept any alternatives or substitutes unless otherwise stated. 4.1 Contractor must provide the following but not limited to: Contractor shall dig trenches, lay conduit, and install necessary cable vaults. The contractor shall then pull RF cable and pull ropes in the conduit. 4.2 Contractor shall be responsible for: 4.2.1 Supplying and installing 3 trade size SCH80 PFC conduit. SCH80 conduit shall be sed inside the fenced perimeter and under roads. All others will be SCH40. Lay grounding wire in trench above conduit with 2 ft leads above ground. 4.2.2 The conduit shall be sealed weather-tight.
