Delivery Point 141 N. Glendale Ave. Room 420, Glendale, CA 91206 Background : The City of Glendale (City) was incorporated in 1906 and is approximately 31 square miles in size. It is a balanced residential, commercial, and industrial City with approximately 191,284 residents. The City is located in the San Fernando Valley and adjacent to Verdugo Mountains, approximately nine miles north of downtown Los Angeles. It is at the center of four major freeways: I-5 Golden State Freeway, SR-2 Glendale Freeway, ST-134 Ventura Freeway, and 210 Foothill Freeway. Glendale Water & Power (GWP) - Water Division is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of the City's watersystem. The Water Division is comprised of the following sections: Water Engineering, Water Distribution, Water Operations, and Water Quality. The other Sections within GWP that provide support are Administration, Business System Support, Utility Finance, Customer Services, and Water Conservation. The Scope of Services includes, but is not limited to the tasks below, and any other tasks necessary to prepare a comprehensive Water System Condition Assessment (WSCA), Water Master Plan (WMP), and Recycled Water Master Plan (RWMP). Task One will generally consist of collection and review of existing reports and data, as well as physical site visits and inspection of facilities to conduct a complete Water System Condition and Operational Assessment and develop a comprehensive Water Master Plan that addresses existing potable water system deficiencies and provides details of proposed capital improvements planning for the watersystem, including phasing of projects and capital requirements.
