Site work and paving for a civil project in Gaston, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

This project consists of reconstructing the roadway, guardrail, excavating failing embankment, constructing MSE granular backfill with geogrid, subsurface drain, stone embankment, and adding and replacing existing storm drainage on Scoggins Valley Road in Washington County. This project will utilize open excavation techniques for removal and installation. Associated activities include traffic control, protection of fish, wildlife, plants, and waterways, earthwork, ACP paving, and revegetation. The work to be done under this contract consists of the following in Washington County, Oregon: Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control and erosion control measures. Perform all removal of storm drainage, structures, and obstructions. Install 12" stormwater pipes and catch basins. Install drainage curb and subsurface drain line. Construct stone embankment. Construct MSE granular backfill with geogrid. Construct roadway improvements including aggregate base and ACP asphalt. Install weatherized guardrail. Install permanent striping. Perform additional and Incidental Work as called for by the Specifications and Plans. Full road closures will not be allowed on this project. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount allowable under the contract on the County's Bid Guaranty Form may be required. A performance bond equal to the full contract price to be completed conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract in accordance with the plans specifications and conditions thereof will be required from the successful bidder. Said performance bond shall be issued by a company currently licensed to do business in the State of Oregon, drawn in favor of Washington County. A payment bond in an amount equal to the full contract price to be completed, solely for the protection of claimants under ORS 279C.600, will be required from the successful bidder. The Contractor agrees that work under this contract shall be completed in accordance with the specified contract time. In the event Contractor fails to complete work within the time as herein mentioned, or in the extended time agreed upon, liquidated damage shall be 'Liquidated Damages Cost. The County may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding of the County it is in the public interest to do so.
