Marjorie Barrick Museum / Harry Reid Center Roof Replacement Project Question Deadline 12/30/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Please submit any questions or requests for additional information through the NGEM question tab or via email to the following Designated Contact at the e-mail address below: Frances Heiy, Senior Purchasing Analyst frances.heiy@unlv.edu or purchasingunlv@unlv.edu 702-895-1263 or 702-895-3521 Barrick Museum Roof Replacement Project: The scope of work includes Pre-Construction Services and Construction Management Services for the replacement of the roof over the Barrick Museum on the UNLV Maryland Campus at 4305 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV. The Project will include complete replacement of the existing roof membrane with new 80 mil PVC roofing system over tapered insulation. CMAR shall provide fall protection per UNLV standards and building code. Contractor shall remove the existing roofing which is currently a spray applied foam roof over an existing builtup roofing. Any existing Asbestos Containing Material has been encapsulated. Contractor shall assume that the entire removal of the existing roofing (down to the deck) will require an asbestos abatement. There is no indication of damage to the existing deck / substrate, but the contractor shall provide an allowance for replacement of the existing deck / substrate as required. Contractor shall provide for all necessary investigations to confirm any damage to the existing deck / substrate. The roofis approximately 15,400 square feet. The CMAR will provide cost estimates as well as providing a schedule and constructability assessment. The estimated funding amount is subject to change based on the determined scope, schedule and actual funding received for the project. Pre-Construction work will be performed on a fixed price basis (see Attachment 1 Pricing Response Form). The cost of the construction work will be based on a GuaranteedMaximum Price (GMP) as described in the Contract Documents. UNLV will request GMP's per the Pre-Construction Contract for the base bid and alternate work. The Design Team and the UNLV Team will develop the building program by reviewing and incorporatingthe stakeholder's vision and needs along with UNLV facility standards. The CMAR will review the final program, proposed design drawings; construction means & methods; project schedule and cost. The CMAR should develop and manage the costs to stay within the budget and provide input to decrease costs should the cost exceed the anticipated budget. The CMAR will also provide options for costsavings and efficiencies that are consistent with the facility program, function, quality, and vision.
