The City of Los Altos ("City") is requesting proposals from qualified firms that can provide on-call general and specialized planning services for residential or non-residential projects in support of the Development Services Department. The City desires a high level of professionalism and customer service to residents, businesses, contractors, and non-profit organizations through continuity of on call general and specialized planning services. SCOPE OF WORK The City is seeking to establish agreements with consultants for on-call general and specialized planning services, beginning in September 2024, in connection with medium to large development projects or policy projects. From time-to-time the Development Services Department requires additional professional and technical expertise in the following areas: o General planning, including moderate and large development project management and staffing support o Economic analysis o Historic analysis o Urban design o Surplus Land Act o Long-range planning o Environmental review analysis expertise It is anticipated that a portion of the services could be provided either by an individual person or a firm. Each proposer should identify which technical expertise, or combination of technical expertise, for which they wish to be considered. The City will enter into one or more agreements with one or more firms depending on the range of applicants and expertise. It is not necessary that a single firm/individual be able to provide expertise in all the areas. The City reserves the right to Reject any responses.
