This procurement includes the purchase, delivery and installation of furniture from a single supplier who can conform with the Colleges design criteria for the HSAD student residence. Opening in Winter 2024/25, this new student residence will improve the quality of student life at the Haliburton Campus and will serve to alleviate the ongoing student-housing pressures felt within the local community. This is not your traditional student residence. While accommodating students for a portion of its operating season, this residence will also cater to mature clientele partaking in short-stays during peak vacation periods, corporate clientele looking to host teambuilding workshops and vacationers from out-of-town. It is positioned to fill the accommodations need within the local market - somewhere students can stay while completing their studies, something affordable for short-term stays for single, couples and small families, and something for business clientele which cannot be satisfied by the local resorts in the area.
