The deadline for questions is Noon on August 1, 2024. Paintsville Independent Schools - Steam Academy Demolition Package. The contract will include liquidated damages assessed at $1,000.00/day if the completion date is not met. Successful Bidders are required to furnish a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond for this Project. Each bid must be accompanied by a 5% Bid Bond. The bid will be submitted in duplicate on copies of the Form of Proposal located in the Volume One Project Manual Bidding and Contract Documents. Both copies of the Form of Proposal and Bid Bond shall be placed in a manila envelope and have the Project Name and Proposed Bid Package number affixed. No Bidder may withdraw a bid submitted for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The Project is funded by Grant #23-11H and ARC Grant KY 21577. All contracts and subcontracts for the project must comply with the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards at 2 C.F.R Part 200, including but not limited to Davis Bacon Prevailing Wages and weekly payroll submittal, Section 3 Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. As required by Section 70914 of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (also known as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act), P.L. 117-58, on or after May 14, 2022, none of the funds under a federal award that are part of Federal financial assistance program for infrastructure may be obligated for a project unless all of the iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project are produced in the United States, unless subject to an approved waiver. The requirements of this section must be included in all subawards, including all contracts and purchase orders for work or products under this program. Title VI Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid. All bidders shall comply with all applicable federal law, regulations, executive orders, policies, procedures, and directives, including but not limited to those found in the Volume One Project Manual Bidding, Contract Documents and comply with the City of Paintsville and Johnson County's requirement for Occupational Tax. Bids shall be presented through competitive separate sealed bidding and opened publicly pursuant to KRS 45A.080 and 2 C.F.R Part 200. Contract shall be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Owner can be served.
