Award date: 9/17/2024 Request for Bids City of Commerce Airport Fuel Farm Project The City of Commerce is accepting bids for the Commerce Airport Fuel Farm Project. The Project will include the construction of an Avgas tank and dispensing system, and related electrical and control systems work. Scope of Work The proposed Scope of Work for this project is summarized as the installation of the installation of the self-serve Avgas system, the electrical power necessary to operate the Avgas and future Jet A, and the removal of the existing Avgas system. A complete scope is presented in the plans for this project. a. All work and Equipment shall be performed, and equipment supplied in conformance with the TxDOT and FAA Aviation Standards. The specifications to be referenced on this project are the TxDOT Aviation Division Construction Contract General Provisions. b. The pump skids for the Avgas and Jet A shall come prewired with motor starters and other components mounted within an explosion proof enclosure. All electronic components shall be constructed in accordance with the NEC. c. Fuel necessary for tests required by the Fire Department shall be purchased by the City, and if contaminated after the test, hauled by a registered hazmat truck for legal disposal. A manifest shall be completed and submitted to the Engineer. d. This project will require bonding and insurance. The City of Commerce will determine the limits of these policies. e. This is a public bid and as such will be opened and read aloud on the day of receipt. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. f. The Contractor shall have all retail meters calibrated to a retail sales standard to verify that the sales will be properly reflected on the receipt.
