Santa Fe College, Department of Facilities Planning & Design, is soliciting statements of qualifications for Architectural and Engineering Services for the design of an automotive repair training facility sited at Santa Fe College's Blount Center. Located in downtown Gainesville near the intersection of NW 6th Street and University Boulevard, the Blount Center comprises three buildings, parking lots, and several open parcels. Services are expected to include project programming, design, bidding, and construction administration services for renovation, remodel, and/or addition to a facility of approximately 20,000 GSF. The program consists of classroom and lab suites applying the latest technology in the automotive repair industry and a computer lab, library, study, tool and equipment storage, spare part, and storage spaces necessary to support the career and technical education. Design is intended to begin in November 2024 with construction completion in 2026.
