The Town of Wells, Maine pays its bills in full on or within thirty (30) days following delivery of services and receipt of bills for all items covered by the Town's contract. In submitting bids under these specifications, bidders should consider all discounts allowed in accordance with the above payment policy. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder considering the quality of the services, supplies, materialsor equipment to be supplied, their conformity with specification, the purpose for which it is required, date of delivery and ultimate cost thereof to the Town. The Town of Wells reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids, to accept any bid or section(s) of the bid, and to reject any or all bids should it be deemed in the best interest of the Town to do so. Train Station - 696 Sanford Road Entrances and exits must be kept cleared of snow and ice for passage at all times. The Train Station should be cleared prior to opening at 5:30 a.m. on weekdays and 6:30AM on weekends for when employees arrive for work. Train schedules are subject to change and all platforms and walkways must be kept cleared of snow and ice at all times for passengers boarding and exiting the Trains. The high platform must be cleared at least 30 minutes prior to every train arriving per the regulations of AMTRAK Insurances - Proof of insurance and/or insurability must accompany the bid showing coverage for Workers' Compensation, unless independent contractor, liability ($50,000 minimum per each occurrence and Comprehensive including Property Damage $50,000 per occurrence. Commencement of Work : Work shall commence upon acceptance of the bid. The contract period will be for a two-year period from November 1, 2024, and ending April 30, 2026.
