Reference Number 0000275436 Ontc is Advancing the Construction of the North Bay Bypass Track, Connecting the Cn Newmarket Subdivision at Mp 226.42 to the Ontc Mainline Track on the Temagamí Subdivision at Mp 0.80. The Bypass Track Begins at the Cn Transfer Yard Track's Terminus, Starting at the Existing Tail Track. It Then Continues in the Previous Cn Row and Trackbed, Then Curves Left Towards the North-west, Followed by a Short Tangent Before Curving Right Towards the North-east to Tie-into the Ontc Mainline and Connecting via a New No. 20 Lh Switch. Spanning 982 Meters, This Alignment Traverses Old Callander Rd and Industrial Avenue, Necessitating the Reinstatement of Two Grade Crossings, the Construction of New Track Bed, Installation of Ditches and Culverts, Grading, Excavation, Fill Placement, and Other Essential Infrastructure Components as Described in the Contract Documents. Obligations of the Contractor Are Identified Below Based on the Anticipated Scope of Work, and in Alignment With the Form of Tender. 1. Mobilization: Prepare and Transport Equipment, Materials, and Workforce to the Construction Site, and Set Up Site Offices, Communication Systems, and Other Necessary Facilities for Project Commencement. 2 Demobilization: Dismantle and Remove All Temporary Facilities and Equipment From the Site, and Ensure the Site is Cleared and Restored to Its Original or Agreed Condition. 3. Environmental Controls Including Plans, Procedures, and Oversights: Develop and Implement Environmental Protection Plans and Procedures, Conduct Site Surveys to Identify Environmental Sensitivities and Hazards, and Monitor Compliance With Environmental Regulations and Guidelines Throughout the Project Duration. 4. Design, Construct, Maintain, Remove and Restoration of Construction Access and Laydown Area Including Temporary Access Roads: Design and Construct Access Routes and Laydown Areas for Equipment and Materials, Maintain These Areas Throughout the Construction Period to Ensure Safety and Efficiency, and Remove Temporary Access and Restore the Site Upon Project Completion. 5. Temporary Facilities, Work Site Hoarding, Staging, and Stockpile: Set Up Temporary Facilities Including Storage Areas, Staging Zones, and Stockpile Locations. 6. Safety Requirements and Railway Safety Requirements: Implement Safety Protocols and Requirements Specific to Railway Construction, Ensure All Personnel Are Trained and Equipped to Adhere to Safety Standards, and Conduct Regular Safety Audits and Inspections. 7. Pre-construction Condition Survey, Post-condition, and Inspection Survey of the Site: Perform a Detailed Survey of the Site Before Commencing Construction, Conduct Periodic Inspections During Construction to Monitor Progress and Site Condition, and Complete a Final Survey Post-construction to Document Site Conditions and Ensure Compliance With Project Specifications. 8. Design and Implementation of Construction Monitoring Plan: Develop and Execute a Comprehensive Construction Monitoring Plan That Outlines Methods and Procedures for Tracking Project Progress. This Plan Includes Monitoring Track Settlement and Other Critical Parameters to Ensure Construction Activities Align With the Project Timeline and Specifications. The Respondent shall provide with its Proposal an agreement to bond issued by a surety company undertaking to provide a fifty percent (50%) Performance Bond and a fifty percent (50%) Labour and Material Bond (the "Contract Securities") in the form prescribed by the Construction Act, both to be provided to ONTC by the Successful Respondent following award of the contract.
