Site work and paving for a civil project in Tulpehocken Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Bids will be reviewed and recommended for award to the lowest qualified Bidder(s) at the Township Meeting to be held on August 15, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. The project generally consists of drainage culverts replacements, drainage improvements and pavement improvements including leveling course, pavement fabric and a wearing course overlay. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Surety Company's Bid Bond on the form provided in the Bid Documents, naming as payee or Obligee, Marion Township, Berks County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid submitted. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Township. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the above-specified date for receiving, opening and reading of bids, except as specifically may be provided by law. All Contracts exceeding $10,000.00 shall be performed in compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). In addition, all Contractors shall comply with the "Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause" as required by Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-05. No bid may be withdrawn after the above-specified date for receiving, opening, and reading of bids, except as specifically may be provided by law. The successful BIDDER will be required to execute the Agreement, furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond on the respective forms provided in the Contract Documents, and provide evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Contract Documents. The wages paid on this project will be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of 1955, P.L. 744, No. 222, as amended June 25, 1997, by Act 34 of 1997, 43 P.S. 951-963. Marion Township, Berks County, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items.
