**As of September 06, 2024 This project has been awarded to Bontke Brothers Construction Co., Inc, with the awarded amount of $489,007.50.** Corsicana ave. Rehabilitation, as per specifications This construction contract involves the rehabilitation and widening of Corsicana Ave. from Benbrook Dr. to South 7th St. This will include removing the existing surface material, cement stabilizing the base material, and adding shoulders to the roadway. An underseal will be placed on top of the base material and then a 2" mat of Type D HMAC will be placed on top of the underseal. Pavement markings shall be applied, and pedestrian handrail shall be placed at existing culvert. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his address, the name of the project and the bid number. Any bids received after scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be marked "Received late" and returned to the sender. The city of abilene will utilize the "Best value" competitive bidding method in determining the award of the contract. The city of abilene will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder who provides the "Best value" to the city of abilene. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
