The Forest Preserve District of Cook County ("FPDCC") invites vendors to supply CARRIER & BRYANT HVAC SUPPLIES for the FPDCC. Interested vendors must guarantee all parts and supplies are in new and working condition. The FPDCC is interested in establishing competitive pricing. The competitive pricing must be the same for both cost of parts listed and cost of parts not listed but covered herein. The FPDCC is seeking one or more vendor(s) per region, to supply a variety of Carrier and Bryant HVAC supplies for the accomplishment of certain tasks, like construction renovation, HVAC systems repair and replacement, heating, and cooling services, etc. Therefore, approved vendors shall provide their supplies and products on an as-needed, as-requested basis for the contract period. The contract will be for twelve months. Approved vendors must be a brick-and-mortar distributor of air handlers, diagnostic tools, and supplies. The contract is expected to begin May 2024. Being an approved vendor is not a guarantee of work. The FPDCC may elect to undertake a Carrier and Bryant HVAC supply procurement: (a) with its own supplies; (b) with vendors currently on contract with the FPDCC; or (c) by advertising a separate Invitation for Bids ("IFB") or Request for Information ("RFI") for the supply procurement of a specific project. The FPDCC reserves the right to inspect the supplies and products when received to determine whether they meet contract specifications. If, within thirty days of procurement, the FPDCC determines that the supplies and products and equipment does not meet contract specifications, the FPDCC may, at its discretion: i. Reject the supplies and products and return it to the vendor at the vendor's expense for a full refund, at which time the FPDCC obligations to the vendor as to the rejected supplies and products shall become null and void. ii. Request the vendor to conform the supplies and products to contract specifications. This work shall be performed properly within time limits established by the FPDCC and at no cost to the FPDCC. iii. Hold back from any monies due to the contractor, the reasonable value of the rejected material, replacement parts, workmanship, or services, based upon the contract price.
