Reference Number 0000275424 The Rfp is an Invitation to Submit Offers for the Provision of a Boiler Chimney Inspection, as Further Described Herein. The Power Plants Main Boilers Chimneys Will Require Class 1 and Class 2 Inspections [boiler 1 Stack, 2. Boiler 2 Stack, 3. Boiler 3 Stack, 4. Boiler 4 & 5 (Common Brick Stack)]. Based on the Condition and Findings During the Inspection, Repairs May Be Required by the Proponent, at the Discretion of Western. Although This Rfp is Facilitated Specifically for the Power Plant, Other Western Faculties or Departments May Be Interested in the Services Offered in the Future. as Such, It is Expected the Successful Proponent Will Provide the Services of This Rfp to All Western Faculties and Departments. Goals and Expectations Comprehensive Inspection of the Full Exterior, Interior (Including Annular Space), and All Relevant Ancillary Equipment Achieve a Complete Understanding of the Condition of All Stack Components Repairs May Be Required by the Proponent Subject to Western’s Approval and Internal Policies. Project/service Requirements Only One Boiler Stack Can Be Made Available to Inspect/repair at a Time Exterior Shell: a Full Height, Full Circumference, Inspection of the Exterior of the Stack. Interior of Liner: a Full Height, Full Circumference, Inspection of the Interior of the Liner. Ut Thickness Measurements: the Upper Portions (Top 2ft) of the Stack is Unclad and and Hence a Utm Survey of This Area Will Be Completed Ancillary Equipment: Inspection of All Stack Ancillary Equipment Such as Steelworks (Breachings, Step Irons / Platforms, Bands, Cap, Doors), Lps System, Awl System, Breachings, Etc. Basically Everything That is Attached to the Stack. Inspection Standards: Inspection Should Be Done to Both Asce (American Society of Civil Engineers) Stack Inspection Guidelines, and Cicind (International Committee for Industrial Chimney Construction) Standards. Engineering and Inspection Department Will Review the Results of the Inspection and Will Provide Commentary, Observations and Recommendations for Repair and Future Inspections Inspection Report Should Be Complete With Photos and Other Relevant Data (Ontario Peng Sealed) Training All Training Required as Per Western University Policies and Procedures and Ministry of Labor Requirements to Work at Heights and Work on/inside Stacks Etc. Repair Work If Repair Work is Required, a Competitive Procurement Process May Be Required Subject to the Western Compliance With Internal Procurement Policy. Duration of Agreement: The Term of the Agreement is to Be for a Period of Five (5) Years With an Option in Favour of Western to Extend the Agreement on the Same Terms and Conditions for an Additional Term of Up to One (1) Two (2) Year Term.
