Demolition and renovation of an educational facility in Bellingham, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for the demolition of a educational facility.
Description The work has been identified to include, but not limited to: construction of new and reinforcing existing foundation elements associated with existing brace frames, replacing existing braces with buckling restrained braces (BRBF), reinforcing and/or replacing braced frame members, decommissioning existing frames, and reinforcing composite elevated slab and metal roof deck diaphragms. Associated with this scope is selective demolition of interior and exterior building elements, re-roofing affected areas, and the reconstruction and refinishing of the building to preconstruction condition. Bellingham Technical Colleges goals for this project are to maintain the buildings aesthetic, while improving the primary structural framing, and re-occupying the facility prior to fall semester 2025. Two (2) separate Mandatory Pre-Bid Conferences for Bid Package No. 08.1 – STOREFRONTS will be held in person at 3028 Lindbergh Avenue Bellingham, WA 98225. We will meet in front the Campus Center Building. Contractors are only required to attend one (1) of the scheduled Mandatory Pre-Bid Conferences, not both. Pre-bid Conference No. 1 will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Pre-bid Conference No. 2 will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates will apply.
