Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Torrington, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
**As of September 12, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Project work includes partial-depth roadway reconstruction, grading and paving approximately 4,100 linear feet of road, new concrete sidewalks, new bituminous concrete multi-use trail, granite and concrete curbing, storm drainage modifications, new catch basin tops, new manhole frame and covers, driveway aprons, pavement markings, signage and associated work. Question Deadline 08/20/2024 at 12:00 PM ET No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. All requests for such interpretation must be in writing to be given consideration for a reply and must be received. All written requests for interpretations must be emailed to Purchasing Agent Pennie Zucco at pennie_zucco@torringtonct.org. The City of Torrington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or; to award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bid, and to award the contract as it feels will best serve the public interest. A bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall accompany each bid. A non-collusion statement for Prime Contractors and any addendum acknowledgement must also be submitted at the time of the bid. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN STAT. 4a-60g, as amended. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.)
