Reference Number 0000275568 Question Acceptance Deadline 23-Aug-2024 01:30:00 PM EDT Job Location Various Locations in Northwestern Ontario Road Name Various Program Year 2024-2027 Group WP Number N/A Project Classification Engineering The scope of work will include the performance of all work necessary or appropriate to deliver the individual Work Items requested by the Ministry throughout the term of the Retainer Assignment in conformance with the standards, criteria and requirements of the Technical Standards and Specifications. As well, when providing services under this Agreement, the Service Provider shall comply with all applicable legislation, regulatory standards, industry best management practices, and other guidelines and procedures relevant to conduct the work. The Service Provider shall also consult any existing applicable MTO guidance documents as appropriate. This assignment may include work that is in a French Language Services designated area. For each work item the Service Provider is to determine if French language services are required under the French Language Services Act. The Service Provider must comply with all provisions of the Act, including but not limited to Third Party Regulation 284/11. Technical services provided under this retainer may include, but are not limited to the following: Conduct detailed visual inspections of structures in accordance with the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual. Conduct detailed condition surveys in accordance with the MTO Structural Rehabilitation Manual and all other prescribed ministry requirements. Conduct evaluations of rehabilitation/replacement alternatives with cost estimates for bridges and culverts. Complete structural evaluations of simple structures including bridges and culverts in response to damage, load posting, design changes during construction, etc. Obtain Navigation Protection Act (NPA) Approval, where required and all other necessary approvals, permits and exemptions from external agencies. Provide construction liaison services and technical assistance to ministry staff, contract administrators, or contractors on ministry administered contracts. The technical services requirements specific to each work item will be described in detail in the Work Item Requests issued throughout the term of the Retainer Assignment.
