Site work for a water / sewer project in Bangor, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of September 26, 2024, the project has not yet been awarded. The anticipated date for award is not yet determined. The City of Bangor (City) invites sealed proposals from qualified Proposers to install approximately one thousand and thirty-five (1,035) linear ft. of storm drain. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, the following: A. Provide a designated project manager. B. Provide a construction schedule. C. Provide and implement a traffic control plan. D. Provide adequate erosion control measures to protect adjacent natural resources in accordance with all State and local regulations. E. Obtain all necessary permits. F. Confirm the location of all existing utilities in the field. G. Replace site features after completion of installation, as noted on the plans. H. The one thousand and thirty-five (1,035) linear ft. of storm drain work includes: 1. Sixty-eight (68) linear ft. of thirty (30)" diameter High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) storm drain. 2. Fifty-four (54) linear ft. of twenty-four (24)" diameter Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) storm drain. 3. Nineteen (19) linear ft. of fifteen (15)" diameter HDPE storm drain. 4. Five hundred ninety-five (595) linear ft. of fifteen (15)" diameter HDPE underdrain. 5. Six (6) catch basins. 6. Two (2) drain manholes. 7. Widened roadway for an added turn lane. 8. Fifty-four (54) linear ft. of one hundred three (103)" x seventy-one (71)" diameter Polymer Coated Corrugated Metal Pipe Arch culvert (ninety (90)" Dia. Equiv.) culvert on Shaw Brook. 9. Installing approximately two hundred sixteen (216) linear ft. of guardrail, lane striping, signage, erosion control, and surface restoration on Hammond Street. 10. Other infrastructure as noted on the plans. I. Maintain all existing infrastructure, including use of supports or other apparatuses, to prevent damage while excavation takes place as needed or directed by the engineer. J. Maintain the flow of the existing storm drain at all times. K. Restore all pavement disturbed during the project as shown on the plans. L. Restore all vegetated areas. For consideration, submit the proposal Bid Form and Proposer Information Form in an envelope marked "Proposal No. P25-04: Hammond Street Storm Drain Extension" All submissions should reference "Proposal No. P25-04: Hammond Street Storm Drain Extension". Proposals will be publicly opened at the time stated above in the temporary Council Chambers, 262 Harlow Street, Bangor, Maine. A tabulation of all received proposals will be posted electronically by 4:30 P.M. on the opening date. Visit online for results. Question Deadline 08/16/2024 at 4:30 PM ET Any questions must be directed in writing to bids@bangormaine.gov. The City will provide a response by 4:30 P.M. on Friday, August 23, 2024. This response will be in the form of an addendum, accessible online. Notifications will be sent to the Registered Vendor List when new addenda are released. It is the responsibility of the Proposer(s) to see that their proposals have sufficient time to be received by the Purchasing Department before the submittal deadline. Any proposal, portion of a proposal, or requested proposal revision received at the City Purchasing Department after the time and date specified, will be returned to the Proposer unopened. The City reserves the right to reject any proposals, waive any informalities or defects in proposals, or accept a higher cost proposal if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The City also reserves the right to request clarification, of any details, from the successful Proposer. All work, as shown on the plans, shall be completed by June 30, 2025. Award and Selection Criteria The City will select the proposal deemed most advantageous, appropriate, and beneficial to the City. The contract will be awarded to the Proposer best able to provide the services required. The evaluation of proposals and determination of the award will be at the discretion of the City and its judgment shall be final and without right of recourse by any Proposer. Each proposal will be evaluated according to the following criteria: A. The qualifications and experience of the individual(s) who will perform the work. B. The availability and capacity of the Proposer to perform the services required. C. The cost of the services offered. D. The ability to meet the schedule.
