The proposed project is officially known as the "VILLAGE OF BLOOMINGDALE 2024 PAINTING OF TWO VILLAGE PROPERTIES 104 S. BLOOMINGDALE RD. AND 108 W. LAKE ST." The Village will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder qualified to perform the work. The qualified acceptable bidder will be responsible for the management of the total work. This is to include the planning and programming of all services, performance of those services, and compliance with a completion schedule agreed upon between the contractor and the Village of Bloomingdale. BID SECURITY All proposals must be accompanied by a bank cashier's check, bank draft, certified check or bidder's bond, made payable to the Treasurer of the Village of Bloomingdale, for not less than five percent (5%) of the Contract cost. The bid security shall be forfeited if the bidder fails or refuses to enter into Contract after his proposal is accepted. 6.PREVAILING WAGES The successful Contractor shall comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act requirements (820 ILCS 130/1-12) for this contract including submission of certified payroll requirements and the employment of Illinois workers during periods of excessive unemployment. All bidders shall have and provide documentation evidencing a minimum of five years commercial painting experience. Bidder shall submit a letter referencing five (5) projects in the Chicagoland area where contractor has performed this same type of work. REJECTION OF BIDS The President and Board of Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any and all informalities, irregularities and technicalities when awarding the contract for the work.
