Site work for a mixed-use development in Lake Murray of Richland, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and water / sewer project.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, services, transportation, materials, and supplies necessary to excavate eight (8) storm water drop inlets to determine the cause of erosion around each inlet and reinstall the existing lid on one (1) catch basin in accordance with the enclosed description and/or specifications and conditions. For evaluation purposes, the award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the specifications below. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. The contractor shall reinstall the existing lid on one (1) catch basin located at Chapin Highschool and reset at the proper height for proper drainage. 2. The contractor shall excavate eight (8) storm water drop inlets to determine the cause of erosion around each inlet box. Pipe inverts are unknown. However, approximate catch basin depth is indicated below and shown on the attached drawings for each location. o Spring Hill High School (2 total)- 1 each- 75" & 1 each- 112" o Chapin High School (1 each)- 108" o CrossRoads Intermediate (2 total)- 66" & 81" o Dutch Fork High School (1 total)- 45" o Piney Woods Elementary School (1 total)- 48" o River Springs Elementary School (1 total)- 144" 3. The contractor will provide owner with photos of each inlet box and pipe once excavations are complete and provide owner with recommendations for repairs. will 4. When replacement of pipe is not required and pipe joints can be repaired using grout, the contractor ensure that joints and openings have an airtight connection. 5. The contractor shall back fill around each drop inlet compacting the soil at every one-foot of lift. 6. The contractor shall finish grade areas of excavation and spoil storage areas, fertilize, sow with a "contractor's mix" of grass seed, and cover with wheat straw. 7. The contractor shall install erosion protection around the inlets when work is complete. The contractor shall remove the erosion protection when the surrounding soil has been stabilized. 8. The contractor shall remove and properly dispose off-site, all excavated earth, concrete and associated debris. 9. Insurance: Contractor shall provide and maintain during the entire performance period minimum insurance limits of Low Risk as shown in the Minimum Insurance Limits Guideline. Include a copy of your insurance certificate with your bid. Questions pertaining to this quote shall be submitted in writing by 11:00 AM on 08/07/2024.
