Description

Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Toms River, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Bidders must comply with P.L. 1975, C. 127 and 10% Surety required. John N. Ernst, Ocean County Engineer. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the complete replacement of the existing single span, 50' long, timber bridge, with a single span adjacent precast box beam structure founded on stub abutments resting on cast-in-place concrete piles. The work also includes the reconstruction of the adjacent reinforced concrete spillway and replacement of its low-flow outlet structure, construction of permanent and temporary sheeting, construction of an auxiliary overflow channel, articulated concrete block matting, minor drainage, approach roadway work, and upgraded guide rail. Full detour shall be anticipated. Estimated construction cost range: $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
