The Texas General Land Office ("GLO") seeks a highly skilled contractor for coastal construction services for the construction of approximately8,836 Linear Feet (LF) of rock breakwater to protect and enhance estuarine habitat within Bird Island Cove located within Galveston Bay at the mouth of Ostermayer Bayou, in Galveston County, Texas (the "Project"). The project goal is to protect and enhance the existing estuarine habitats. If a flotation channel is needed for construction, the dredge material would be beneficially used to create marsh mounds providing additional habitat.
