Project Description: This project consists of the replacement of 4,067 linear feet of 8-inch PVC force main from the Town's main lift station to the wastewater treatment lagoons Bidders are responsible for monitoring the website referenced above for notifications of changes and addenda related to this project. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at the office of the ENGINEER, Souder, Miller & Associates, 3500 Sedona Hills Parkway, Las Cruces, NM 88011, upon payment of $100.00 for each set. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to the Owner, identified above. Any BIDDER, upon returning the Bidding Documents in good and complete condition within 30 calendar days of bid opening, will be refunded $100.00 Resident Contractor and Resident Veteran Contractor Preferences shall apply to this Project per Section 13-1-21 NMSA 1978 (as amended). Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The Town of Hagerman has construction water available for sale from the hydrant at the intersection of Perth St and York Ave. Contractor to coordinate with the Town of Hagerman's Public Works department on water usage. Contractor can stage material and equipment at the wastewater treatment lagoon or at the Town of Hagerman's yard at the intersection of Mono Rd and Argyle St. A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is not needed for this project since there will be less than 1-acre of land disturbance. Survey stalking of the waterline will be incidental to the installation of force main. Geotechnical investigation report is not project specific and should be used as a refence to the subsurface conditions of the project. Appendix A - Permit: Chaves County requires all road crossings to be cased. Casing material not specific. The pre-bid meeting minutes have been attached.
