Renovation of a municipal facility in Weston, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Weston Town Hall Storage Room Project The Project consists of the interior renovation at an existing occupied structure to provide for new renovated Records Storage Room at the existing Town Hall Facility for the Town of Weston, CT. This project is subject to the provisions of C.G.S. Sec. 4b-91. As such, all bidders shall be pre- qualified in accordance with the Connecticut Departments of Administrative Services (DAS) Construction Contractor Program (C.G.S. Sec. 4a-100). Sealed proposals submitted with bid security. Bid Security shall be issued payable to the "Town of Weston" in the form of certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. Label exterior of envelope with project title to avoid premature opening of bid. Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the Contract price with a surety company satisfactory to the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of bids without written consent of the Owner. The Town of Weston reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to accept or reject any or all bids and waive any formalities in the bidding. The bidding shall be done in accordance with the Code of the Town of Weston, and the laws of the State of Connecticut. Attention of bidders is directed to certain requirements of this contract which require payment of State prevailing wage rates, provision of 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds, and compliance with certain local and state requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. For municipal public works contracts and quasi-public agency projects, the contractor must file a written or electronic non-discrimination certification with the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. An Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Minority/Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to apply. This contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements
