Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Houston, Texas. Working plans call for the demolition of a 1,800-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; for the construction of a fire / police facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; for the renovation of a 24,667-square-foot fire / police facility; fire / police facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The South Central Police Station will be relocating from its existing site to the E.B. Cape site. The existing, 1997, 2-story, E.B. Cape building is to be renovated to accommodate all South Central HPD personnel and programs. Site improvements will include expanded parking, existing parking area refresh, underground detention, exterior parking and wayfinding signage, and limited landscaping. Exterior improvements include existing envelope repairs, roof repairs, exterior facade refresh, and repurposing of an existing 1,800 sf warehouse for occupied space. Interior renovation includes reprogramming and reconfiguration of approximately 24,667 sf interior, finishes, associated FF&E, security, IT, and MEP systems, and added fitness area, showers, and locker rooms. The City anticipates retaining a Design-Build Team to provide the Scope of Services outlined in Document 2 of this RFQ. Those firms, or joint ventures, that participate in this RFQ process will be referred to as "Respondent(s)". Respondent and its Sub-Consultants shall be referred to collectively as the "Design-Build Team or DBT". The Design-Build Team with significant experience in planning, design, and construction of projects with similar characteristics, will be given prime consideration for this project.
