Bids received after the fixed opening time will not be considered. The work includes the furnishing and installing of a new sewer main along with nine new connections. The new sewer main and connections are to be installed along 80th Avenue South and South 126th Street. The portion of the new sewer main under Renton Avenue South is to be about 200 lineal feet of 10" HDPE DR 11 installed by horizontal directional drilling. The remaining 600 lineal feet of new sewer main for the project is to be 8" PVC installed by "open cut" construction. There will be a total of 4 new manholes installed in the project. All roadway areas opened to install sewer main are to be restored as shown on the plans. The existing septic tanks are to be decommissioned and abandoned at the properties receiving connections to the new sewer main. Landscaping is to be replaced after septic tank decommissioning and abandonment and new connections are completed. The work shall be substantially complete within 1.00 calendar days following the notice to proceed. The Engineer's Estimate for the work is $750,000 - $870,000 including sales tax. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Bidder and its onsite field superintendent for this project shall meet minimum experience requirements as defined in the bid documents. This project is funded, in part or in whole, withdraw their bid during this by the King County Equitable period. SKYWAY WATER & SEWER DISTRICT reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in the bid or bidding process. The District may award this Contract to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder, or reject bids within forty-five (45) calendar days after the time set for the opening thereof. No Bidder may withdraw their bid during this period. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit, in the form of a certified or cashier's check, postal money order, or bid bond made payable to the order of Skyway Water & Sewer District in an a mount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid. The successful Bidder shall execute the contract within ten (10) calendar days after the Notice of Award is issued. Maintaining the overall project budget is important, if bids come is over the anticipated amounts the District may either reject all bids and rebid the project or ward the project and by change order deduct sewer main and associated other bid items to bring the protect within budget.
