Bids will be accepted until the specified opening time and date. Any bidder attempting to deliver after the opening time and date will be refused. Each bidder shall submit with his bid the information specified in the bid documents for compliance with the laws of the State of Ilinois on Fair Employment Practices and with the City of Rockford's Ordinance on Equal Employment and Business Opportunity. Any bid which fails to include the compliance items properly completed will not be read and will not be considered. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The City of Rockford reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities. Questions shall be received, in writing, until August 14th at 5:00pm; no questions may be submitted after this date. GENERAL SCOPE These specifications describe the minimum requirements for the office remodels at the Customer Service Center, located at City Hall, 1 st floor - 425 East State Street. Prints/Plans & Bid Form. All work must be done according to the plans, hereto attached as Attachment A. The base bid shall include total pricing for the following four items: (1) no carpet replacement, (2) flush wood doors, (3) the new walls to terminate at underside of existing ceiling and (4) existing suspended acoustical ceiling remains as is. All other items should be quoted as alternate items, as follows: 3.1.1 Flooring. Replace with a new carpet. 3.1.2 Doors. Wood doors with tempered clear glass to match existing. 3.1.3 Walls. New walls to extend to underside of deck above. 3.1.4 Ceiling. New suspended acoustical ceiling.
