Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Watkins, Colorado. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project is located in unincorporated Arapahoe County, Colorado south of I-70 near the Airpark Road exit (exit number 292). The Project generally consists of construction of a sanitary sewage lift station (concrete structure with slab on grade foundation, masonry block walls, wood trusses and metal roof); required earthwork and buried pipelines; installing all pumps, meters, valves, piping, and other ancillary items; and associated electrical and control work. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount must be included with each Proposal. The Successful Bidder will be required to enter into an Agreement and perform other actions as outlined in the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive any informalities, and to accept that Proposal which in its sole and absolute judgment best serves the Owner's interests The Owner will be provide the PLC cabinet including all components therein. Owner will be responsible for PLC and HMI programming and implementation of the SCADA and alarm systems. Refer to Section 16950 "Programmable Logic Controller" for additional discussion about this matter. In addition to the above items, the Owner will supply the following equipment for installation by the Contractor: a. The Odor Control Equipment - refer to Section 11060 "Odor Control Equipment". b. The 8" Flow Meter - Endress+Hauser Promag 10 with remote electronics and ground rings. c. The 2" sewage air release valve with 2" SS ball valve and the 10" x 8" flanged ductile iron bullnose tee (to be field painted by Contractor with other piping) - refer to Sheet P2. d. The variable frequency drives (VFDs) for the lift pumps (2), the aeration blower, the supply and exhaust fans (SF1 and EF1) and the odor control fan (SF2). Eaton Power XL DG1 with Ethernet. e. The two 200-amp, 600 VAC NEMA 3R non-fused disconnect switches, with auxiliary contacts, to be located next to the sewage lift pumps. f. The 30-amp, 600 VAC, NEMA 3R non-fused disconnect switch, with auxiliary contact, to be located next to the blower. g. The 200-amp, 600 volt, NEMA 3R double throw manual transfer switch shown on Sheet E3 for compliance with NEC 700.3(F). h. The two 3" motor actuated butterfly valves for the aeration of the two wetwells - Bray S31 with S70 actuators. i. Two lighting fixtures C for installation at the wetwell access. j. The movable 16' aluminum ladder with roof hooks to be secured to the 2" SS grab bars at either wetwell access. k. The potable water meter with AMR read. l. The two combustible gas detectors. m. The water-on-floor float switch at the pump room. The Owner will provide the Contractor with manufacturer's cut sheets and installation instructions for any of the Owner-supplied equipment in a timely manner upon the Contractor's request PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project consists of the construction of a lift station, associated gravel access drive, site grading and ~1,600' of 10" force main to provide sewer service to future portions of the Sky Ranch development. The first phases of Sky Ranch were within the gravity-fed portion of the collections system at Sky Ranch. As the community expands over a topographic ridge a lift station is required to deliver sewage from the southeast phases of the development to the existing Sky Ranch Water Reclamation Facility. The Facilities can be accessed during construction and occasional maintenance by first entering through the vehicle tracking control pad in use for the larger Sky Ranch development which is located east off of Monaghan Road by the construction trailers. Access the Lift station site by traveling south thereafter past E 6th avenue by existing construction roads on Monaghan Road.
