Joya Fence Project Scope of Work At 13201 Tom Field Rd., the City of Farmers Branch is seeking bids for metal ornamental fencing to surround the park structures, as specified on the map provided. This project could be performed in two phases, and the illustration outlined in red is phase one. The second phase is outlined in blue on the map. The City would like to perform both phases simultaneously if the budget allows it. Please bid the two phases separately with 4' and 6' heights. Phase one has a 746-foot painted black ornamental bolt-together fence that must be bid at 4' and 6' heights. 623' of the 746' is a bolt-down configuration that will be bolted to existing concrete on the four corners of the plate with 4 Hilti KH-E2 concrete anchors that are 3/8" or 1/2 " X 4" long depending on plate hole size. Post plates must be 6"x 6" steel plates that are 1/2" thickness that are welded to posts and bolted down on 4' centers, making the dimensions of the fence panels 4'x 4' or 4'x6' flat-top and bottom. Runners are 1.5"x 1.5" square steel tubing with 12-14-gauge thickness; pickets are 5/8", 14-16-gauge square steel tubing placed on a maximum of 4" centers and symmetrical throughout the whole fence. Posts are 3"x 3", 11-gauge steel square tubing, and must have 3"x 3" caps. 123' of the fence will be concreted in the ground not to exceed 8' spacing between posts at a minimum depth of 24" and hole diameter at a minimum of 8". Piers must be a minimum of 3000 psi. concrete with an 8" sonotube form that extends 3" above grade. Phase one portion has 5-4' gates, 1-10' split opening that has one 6' gate and one 4' gate with a removable center post, and 1-10' opening with 2-5' gates; all gates need to be constructed from the same material dimensions and specifications as the fence. All gates must have self-closing hinges, locking closures, and cane bolts. Phase two has a 337-foot painted black ornamental bolt-together fence that must be bid at 4' and 6' heights. Runners are 1.5"x 1.5" square steel tubing with 12-14-gauge thickness; pickets are 5/8", 14-16-gauge square steel tubing placed on a maximum of 4" centers and symmetrical throughout the whole fence. Final Decision / Award Target: by Tuesday | September 17, 2024 In accordance with Chapter 2253 of the Texas Government Code, payment bonds in the amount of not less than one-hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract, and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, for projects with a bid amount in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00), will be required upon the forms which are a part of the Contract documents.
