Provide & Install Fencing & Gates at Love The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide bids to provide and install a high-tensile woven wire fence and gates around a dove field at Love Farm WMA. The field is 60 acres with approximately 6,700 linear feet. Maximum Contract Period - Estimated (Modified) Start date: 9/12/2024 End date: 3/31/2025 Dates provided are estimates only. [SC Code Section 11-35-1710 & R.19-445.2065] [02-2A100-1] Specifications: o An 8' tall, high-tensile woven wire fence and gates shall be installed around a dove field at Love Farm WMA. The field is 60 acres with approximately 6,700 linear feet. o The fence will have six corners/ends where CCA #40 treated pine posts with a minimum of 6 inches diameter are installed 36-40 inches below grade. o Connecting sections of fence roll shall be joined and tensioned with Gripple Plus (or equivalent) connectors. Excess wire shall be trimmed to 3" and connected to fence to allow for future re-tensioning. o Line posts of same specs as corner posts shall be installed every 150 linear feet. o Post holes are to be filled with concrete to ensure stability of the posts. o A maximum of every 425 linear feet, gates, and fence corners shall be "H" braced to ensure proper tension of wire fence. o 10 foot galvanized "t"-posts with sand plates shall be installed every 15 feet between line posts. o Two (2) 20' wide tractor gates and ten 4'wide access gates shall be installed. o Sixteen (16) Walk Thru Access Gates shall be 8 foot tall, wire-filled, and galvanized shall be installed. o All debris pertaining to the work shall be removed from the job site upon completion of the work.o The job site shall be kept in a neat and orderly condition. o The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits.
