Construction Services for replacement of the Como Switch Station located near the Twin Cities campus. Refer to the Request for Proposal documents (found in the Attachments tab) for full project details/requirements. Contact Information Name Kevin Sullivan Address 1300 S. 2nd Street Minneapolis, MN 55454 Email sull0198@umn.edu The existing Como Switch Station, located on the northeast corner of 29th Avenue SE and Weeks Ave in the University Como area, was originally constructed in 1967 to serve as a means of splitting a single Xcel Energy 13.8kV overhead line into the two (2) underground 13.8kV feeders to serve the University owned buildings. In 1990, a second Xcel 13.8 kV overhead line was added to the switch station and the existing switches in the station were modified to accept the additional service feeder. These systems are at the end of their useful life and require replacement. Refer to the attached construction documents describing the scope of Work for the Project. NV5 is the Architect/Engineer of Record for the Project. 1.4 Contract Sum The selected Respondent will perform the Work for a Contract Sum that shall be a fixed, lump sum that shall include all costs necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents, including Respondent's overhead and profit. The total construction budget for this Project is $4,157,000 (current dollars, no escalation). 1.5 Critical Project Schedule Dates The University requires the Project to be substantially complete by no later than July 31, 2026. Equipment has long lead times. Please include your best estimation of timeframes for the equipment specified.
