Site work and paving for a road / highway in Kinsman, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This work shall consist of constructing bituminous surface treatment (A-1) and related items on various streets within the Village of Kinsman. Limits are as shown on the enclosed map and as detailed in the Municipal Maintenance Operations sheet. Surplus aggregate shall be removed from the surface area by the contractor within (4) weeks, but not before (2) weeks of application using a self-propelled sweeper. Surplus aggregate will be stockpiled at designated storage locations and/or properly disposed of as directed by Village personnel or Engineer. In no event shall surplus aggregate be left on the pavement for more than (4) weeks. All stray and scattered chips will be removed from intersections, gutter pans, adjacent sidewalks and driveways by the Contractor in a timely manner or as directed by the Engineer. Street Sweeping will not be paid for separately, but should be considered incidental to the seal coat aggregate pay item.
