Renovation of a parking garage in Birmingham, Michigan. Design plans call for the renovation of a parking garage; parking garage; parking garage; parking garage; and parking garage.
The goal of this project is to update the interior/exterior design and aesthetics of all five City parking garages. Concepts could include a variety of items including, but not limited to, the following; new lighting (interior & exterior), recommendation of light fixtures, light color, locations, lighting controls, all paint color selection for the walls, ceilings, and columns, and any artistic elements, including the use of any graphics on walls, lobbies, windows or other structural design elements or accoutrements (music, landscaping or art). Chester Street Garage Enhancements is currently bidding with a bid due date of October 20, 2026 at 2pm EST. As of October 13, 2026, this projects is in design. Design work is scheduled to be performed over the next three to four years. The designs will be implemented in conjunction with concrete, structural, and waterproofing repairs at all five city garages. A general contractor has not been selected yet.
