PROJECT GA06P080007A - 8 dwelling units: Remove and replace existing site septic system at 8 dwelling units located in Rhine, Georgia including: Septic tanks, drain fields, distribution boxes, cleanouts, fill, and sanitary sewer piping. Demolition and miscellaneous repairs related to replacement of septic system including regrading and grassing of affected areas, repair of affected clotheslines and posts, and related site features. All buildings are 1 story and are located on one site on Oak Street in Rhine, Georgia. Estimate: $250,000. A certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the Housing Authority, or satisfactory bond executed by an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond form contained in the Specifications, or other form acceptable to HUD and the LHA, and in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. All sureties must be authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia and must be listed on the U.S. Treasury Department Circular No. 570 (most current list), published annually listing companies approved to act as surety on bonds securing government contracts, and said surety or sureties must be in accordance with maximum underwriting limits on each contract as specified in the above mentioned Circular No. 570. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority.
