The project generally consists of the construction of 878 feet long by 8 feet wide asphalt shared use trail and ancillary drainage improvements. Clearing, grubbing, placement of fill, geotextile and compacted crushed limestone base will be required. The following items are to be installed and substantially complete by the contractor by December 2, 2024 for the Drees Trail Connector project as described in the bidding documents. Contracts for work under this bid will obligate all Contractors to comply with prevailing wage rates established by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration. Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Performance Bond meeting the requirements of Sec. 153.54 & 153.571 O.R.C. executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio in the full amount of the proposal. In lieu of a bid bond, a certified check may be substituted, payable to the Owner in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal amount, including add alternates. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date.
