Reference Number 0000359377 The City of Durango is seeking a contractor to install ChargePoint CP6000 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at the Transit Center (250 W. 8th St. Durango, CO 81301). Stations will be connected to the existing 400A - 480 V electrical service at the Transit Center. Question Deadline 08/13/2024 at 3:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes Each bidder, before submitting his bid, shall become fully informed as to the extent and character ofwork required. All questions must be submitted via Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System website Participation Requirements - Business Concern - Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) - Minority Business Participation - Native American Participation - Service-Disabled Veteran Owned - Women-Owned Business Participation General Requirements - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % Installation shall include: a) Full installation of electrical conduit and electric equipment to supply power to the charging stations with additional panel capacity for small load circuits. b) Removal of one (1) existing charging station at the south end of the Transit Center parking lot, and complete disconnect/capping of all electrical lines. c) Trenching and/or boring. d) Concrete/asphalt work. e) Certified activation of stations through ChargePoint. f) Full restoration of existing conditions of the site consistent with local code and standards, including capping/covering of the removed charging station. g) The construction shall start at 7 AM and end at 5 PM. h) The installation shall be completed by December 31, 2024. i) The selected contractor shall work with City staff to ensure the temporary sidewalk expansion allows for adequate drainage and does not interfere with normal City operations. j) Traffic Control a. The selected contractor, and/or their subs shall be responsible for setup and oversight of the traffic control. k) Bids shall include a tentative timeframe and schedule for work, as well as a firm fixed price for the scope of work meeting the specifications above. l) All work must be coordinated, in advance, with City staff to allow adequate public notice of the impact on businesses at the transit center. The scope of requested services does NOT include: o The cost of the charging stations, software, and accompanying warranty and services contracts. These are being purchased separately by the City of Durango. o Striping and painting. o Signage. Each bid must be accompanied by an executed Bid Bond from your firm's Surety naming the Contracting Agency / Owner in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the submitted Bid. Bid Bonds will only be accepted, and No U.S. Cash or Cashier Checks will be accepted in lieu of a fully executed surety-issued bid bond. 5. Provide a brief company history or work record demonstrating the firm's ability and experience to perform work complying with the scope of services and specifications in Special Provisions. Include a list of equipment to be used in performing the services required. Include at least three references with contact name, project performed, and telephone number. Attach a copy of any license or certification that is essential to your trade or craft. All bids must be in compliance with all aspects of this bid package. Any exceptions to the specifications must be attached hereto and may be cause for bid rejection. The successful Contractor must have or obtain a City Business License prior to the start of the project. The successful Contractor must also complete a W-9 form (Taxpayer Identification No.). The City of Durango is exempt from all local, state and federal taxes. The City of Durango reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in bids received and to accept any portion of the bid or all items proposed if deemed in the best interest of the City of Durango.
