Scope of Work: Installation of approximately 4900 SY of new sidewalks and curb ramps as part of street improvements. Square Footage: 44,100 ft 2 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Improvements on this Unit Price Contract Include: Base Bid - 1 - Site One includes Collector Streets S. Reynolds Street (from Cecilia Street to near Sidburry Street) and Old Kingsville Road (from near S. Cameron Street to S. Reynolds Street). Site One Collector Street improvements include full depth pavement reclamation of S. Reynolds Street and Old Kingsville Road, total street reconstruction of the intersections, adjustment of existing manhole covers & valve box covers to final pavement grade, and cleaning of the existing storm sewer system in an effort to improve drainage in these areas. Site One Residential Streets (Mora, Virginia, Prado, Oliver & Mary Vera Street) improvements will require total street reconstruction, new curb and gutter, valley gutters, sidewalks, and ADA compliant ramps. Site Two Collector Street (S. Reynolds Street (from Cecilia Street to past Hughes Avenue), including the intersections of Gardenia Street, Violeta Street, and Hughes Avenue) improvements include total street reconstruction, adjustment of existing manhole covers & valve box covers to final pavement grade, reshaping/regrading of the existing ditches on both sides of S. Reynolds from Violeta Street to past Hughes Avenue, and replacing the existing culverts & driveways, complete and in place with all related appurtenances and constructed in accordance with the construction plans, specifications and contract documents. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the highest amount bid must accompany each proposal. Failure to provide the bid bond will constitute a non-responsive proposal which will not be considered. Bids may be held by the City of Alice for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
