Reference number: 20010981 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2024-08-19 Expected contract duration without options (in months): 12 Description: The MRC's CTBFS is located in Kazabazua at 11 chemin Brundtland. Septic tank sludge collected from 16 of the MRC's 17 municipalities is transported to the CTBFS by tanker, partial vacuum or juggler trucks. On receipt, these materials undergo a screening process using a bar screen, eliminating impurities such as plastic or other residues that are incompatible with their treatment. The next phase involves chemical separation, during which cationic polymer is added. This is followed by physical separation (dehydration) of the material using a rotary press. This process produces two types of extracts: a liquid fraction which is sent to the site's water treatment system, and solid residues which are sent to the composting slab. As the existing rotary press, which has been in operation since 2005, is in an advanced state of wear, the Gatineau Valley MRC wishes to acquire a new rotary press (hereinafter referred to as the "press"). Some 14,000 m3 of sludge are dewatered annually, and the MRC hopes to eventually receive up to 18,000 m3. Delivery schedule: Delivery of material must be ensured by the successful bidder. Material must be delivered to the MRC at the following address: 11 chemin Brundtland, Kazabazua (QC), J0X 1X0. The press must be delivered and installed between March 1, 2025 and April 15, 2025. The press must be up and running by May 1, 2025 at the latest.
