Waterline Installation, Fire Riser and Sprinkler System Installation, Fire Detection and Alarm System Upgrade, Demo Ceiling and Fixtures, Remove and Reroute of conduit and wires, extend walls and bulkheads to roof deck, relocation of low-voltage devices, installation of lighting and controls, installation of power distribution features, bid alternates. A CERTIFIED OR CASHIER'S CHECK, or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract with the City of Longview, Texas and furnish bonds on the forms provided. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER OR BIDDERS will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond, in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and satisfactory to the Owner as required by Article 5160 V.A.T.C.S. BIDDERS ARE EXPECTED TO INSPECT the site of the work and to inform themselves of all local conditions. Time of completion shall be one-hundred and six (106) calendar days, including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays and shall conform to the following schedule: October 1 - January 14, 2025: mobilize on site, install all work, achieve substantial completion, complete punch list. January 15: Final Completion March 16: Facility opens with scheduled event(s). NO BID may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least 90 calendar days. IN CASE of ambiguity or lack of clearness stating the price in the bids, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof or to reject the bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any or all informalities, and to award the contract to the bidder or bidders who, in the opinion of the Owner, offers the proposal to the best interest of same.
