HVAC renovation work, (Variable Refrigerant Flow - VRF system and packaged HVAC unit for Building Area "B" and the central multi-purpose room) A bid guaranty is required per Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 153.54, by either a certified check representing ten percent (10%) of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to The Counseling Center of Columbiana County, or a bid bond in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each proposal as a guaranty that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with The Counseling Center of Columbiana County, in the manner provided by law. Per ORC 153.571, a performance bond/payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract will be required after the award of the contract. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner requires that the work commence on September 23, 2024 and must be completed no later than November 27, 2024. Bids by corporations not chartered in Ohio must be accompanied by proper certifications that such corporation is licensed to do business in Ohio. The contractor and all sub-contractors for this project must be enrolled in the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Drug Free Workplace program or in a similar program approved by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex or national origin. The Counseling Center of Columbiana reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
