Renovation of a detention facility in Red Wing, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Re-Roof Knox Building. Est. Value: $ 640,335.00. Est. Completion Date: Aug. 5, 2025. Description: State Project Number Re-Roof Knox Building, MCF-Red Wing This solicitation is Targeted Group (TG), Economically Disadvantaged (ED), or Veteran-Owned (VO) Small Businesses (TG/ED/VO) preference. This project has a 8% TG/ED/VO subcontracting goal assigned. A. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, Demolition, Civil, and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1.) Project Type: Exterior and interior remodeling. 2.) Project Size: Approximately 3,100 SF roof and building footprint area. 3.) Work needs to be phased to allow for continuous facility operation by the Owner and to allow for asbestos abatement by the Owner's contractor intermittent with General Construction and also procurement of materials by the General Contractor. 4.) Roof membrane and wood roof deck replacement (approx.. 3,100 SF). 5.) Miscellaneous masonry parapet repairs. 6.) Structural upgrades to existing sloped wood roof structure. 7.) Existing rainwater leader piping to be separated from the sanitary sewer. 8.) Install new primary and overflow roof drains inlets at rainwater piping exit point at grade. 9.) Install new concrete pads and drain inlets at rainwater piping exit point at grade. 10.) Install underground PVC storm drain piping to daylight at north of building. 11.) Associated earthwork and turf replacement for above mentioned PVC piping. 12.) Selective sidewalk replacement at north and west sides of building. 13.) New painted steel exterior roof access ships ladder from 2nd floor to roof. 14.) Repainting of existing steel fire escape stair. 15.) New prefinished metal fence with egress gate at base of existing fire escape stairs. 16.) HVAC - remove existing powered roof ventilators (PRVs). 17.) HVAC - install new PRVs. 18.) Plumbing for roof drains and rainwater leader piping mentioned above. 19.) Electrical - disconnect and remove electrical from removed PRVs. 20.) Electrical - reconnect electrical to new PRVs. The Section 00 41 73 Prime Contractor Response Form (Response Form), which includes the attachments listed in the project manual table of contents, is posted within the VirtuBid area of the QuestCDN Plan Room. The Response Form must be downloaded, completed, and uploaded with the bid before it can be posted. This solicitation includes qualification requirements. Attachment C of the Response Form contains the qualification requirements for the solicitation. Qualification requirements include, but are not limited to. Responding company has completed as a Prime Contractor (not as a subcontractor) the work for at least THREE (3) contracts which have achieved: - Substantial Completion since August 1, 2019, for construction of site improvements, metal stairs installation, and phased re-roofing similar to this project scope where the existing building being worked on was required to be left watertight at the end of each working day. At least one (1) of these projects must have been completed at a secured facility. - Each of these contracts must have had a construction value of $300,000 or greater. Pre bid meeting notes. Prime Contractors must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Responses received from Prime Contractors that did not attend the pre-bid meeting will be rejected. All questions should be submitted no later than August 20, 2024 at 2PM CT Note from Frerichs Construction: Walkthrough Photos Have Been Issued as of 8-15-2024. Addendum #1-#2 have been issued as of 8-28-2024.
