1. Mowing a. Mowing an estimated 58 acres of land at the landfill site located at 1103 Shawmut Avenue. b. Eliminate clumping of mowed grass to avoid future problems with growth and potential damage to the integrity of the liner. c. Inspect the stability (wetness from adverse weather) of the land prior to mobilization to ensure the mowing equipment will not damage the vegetative layer of the landfill cap. d. Where necessary replace markers that identify existing permanent structures should they become damaged during mowing. e. Report to the DFFM any changes in the vegetative cover of the cap that need or may need attention. f. A final Inspection and approval of the work performed will be required by a DFFM representative prior to payment being issued. 2. Trimming a. Clear high grasses, vegetation and overgrowth surrounding vents, well heads, berms and along the perimeter of the mowing area, where a deck mower cannot access. b. Eliminate any saplings or other brush growing on the property particularly along the mowing area. c. Weed whack. d. Spray and maintain the road surfaces and drainage swales free from weedsand brush.
