Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Tumwater, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
This project will replace the existing culvert at Sapp Road, which, due to its size, gradient and elevation, has become a fish passage barrier to upstream and downstream migration. The City will work with local salmon experts and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to complete design; construction to be funded in future years when grants are available. This project is dependent on receiving grant funding. As of August 8, 2024, this project is included in the City's 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). No further information regarding a design firm or timeline for construction has been established yet. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
