Question Deadline 08/18/2024 at 10:00 PM CT The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a qualifed contractor to; Remove existing lightweight floor patch from existing pit and refill with Ardex Concrete Guard product (approximately 1" average coating). The location for this project is the Jasper/Colfax Scale located along Interstate 80 W/B at the 151 milemarker. Please see Attachment tab for additional resources. Scope: Remove existing lightweight floor patch and refill with Ardex Concrete Guard product. Note: Iowa DOT will review Pre-Bid Requests for Approval of Products and Materials for products comparable to Ardex (Attribute #9). Please see Attachment tab for form. If bidding an alternate product, please submit your Pre-Bid form for approval before bidding. Contractors will be notified via e-mail if their Pre-Bid Request is approved or denied. Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders as work performance and work capacity. Estimated project start date- 9/2/2024 (The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). Estimated project end date- 9/27/2024 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids) Note: Contractors to propose a suggested revised completion date taking into consideration weather conditions or other factors.
