The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as VDOT) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to to provide planned and on-call street sweeping/cleaning services, and Pervious Concrete sweeping/pressure washing services in accordance with the performance specifications herein, throughout the Saluda Residency, within the counties of Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, Essex, King William and King and Queen. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Megan Pitts at Megan.Pitts@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 2:00 PM EST on July 2, 2024. 1. The contractor shall furnish all applicable supervision, labor, equipment, transportation of equipment. Fuel, accessories, materials (including water) and any other incidentals necessary for roadway sweeping and cleaning services to completely remove and dispose of all waste debris by hand and /or equipment from roadways, curbs, bridges, bridge walkways (catwalks), Pervious Concrete parking lots and intersections per the specifications contained herein. 2. The contractor shall provide a Regenerative Air Street Sweeper for Pervious Concrete. The sweeper shall have the capabilities for dry sweeping and pressure water sweeping. Shall be capable of providing adequate combination air flow and vacuum @3000 R.P.M. 3. VDOT will provide traffic control for basic sweeping with operator services. The contractor shall provide traffic control when performing advanced sweeping services. When applicable, there may be occasions when multiple areas request services with required traffic control operations simultaneously, but only one (1) complete crew, with all required equipment, labor, traffic control, etc., will be required at one time. 4. Planned work will consist of the route/sections listed, where there is curb and/or gutter and bridges, per the corresponding attachments. Planned work may be modified prior to renewal as new approved developments are added; however, VDOT reserves the right to add, delete or change any of the locations listed in the attachment "K".5. Unplanned work will consist of but not be limited to sweeping/cleaning roadways, bridges (with or without curb and gutter), intersections, catwalks, etc. to be determined by the VDOT Contract Administrator or Designee.
